Picnic Themes

Anyone planning a picnic may find that a theme can help add structure to the décor and activities as well as tie it all neatly together. They can be a great way for your attendees to get involved and it can be a fun participatory activity in itself, while creating plenty of photo opportunities.

Themes can also create a buzz prior to the event as guests discuss how they can interpret the theme, and what they may expect to see based on the theme. A perfect theme can transform your picnic, improve guest experience and only make the whole thing better.

Western:
Howdy Partner! Saddle up on a pony ride experience a petting zoo, or take the challenge on a mechanical bull. Scarf down a mouth watering BBQ brisket sandwich and then lasso a cactus or beat the rattle snake in our Radical Wrangler! Decorate using hay stacks and barrels. Hand out cowboy hats and bandannas to make your event truly authentic.

Sports:
Enjoy the sites and sounds of a classic american sports themed picnic! Chow down on Hot dogs and cracker jacks, test your speed with an inflatable speed pitch, set up a softball, football or volleyball game for you and your guests to enjoy! Have your guests come in their favorite sports jersey.

Pirate:
Ahoy Thar Matees! Grab an eye patch and pirate hat, then head over to the giant inflatable pirate ship! Test your aim with a bottle of rum ring toss, or land a ring on captain hook’s hook! You can even plan a scavenger treasure hunt, and play many pirate themed games.

Superhero:
It’s a bird….It’s a plane… It’s superhero day!!! Take flight on the Bungee Trampoline, make your own costumes with a fun craft station, or have a face painter reveal your true identity!

Backyard BBQ:Back to the basics of good old burgers, hot dogs and watermelon. Don’t forget the water balloon toss and giant slide for the kids!

Luau / Beach:Grass skirts, Hawaiian leis, a Pig Roast and some tropical drinks! Hang ten on the mechanical surf board or challenge your friends to a limbo contest.

Fiesta:
Grab a sombrero, eat some Fajitas and listen to the sounds of the mariachi band while you try your skills at the Pinata or bounce in the jungle moonwalk.

Classic Carnival:
Step right up, don’t be shy! Create a midway of carnival fun with all types of games and prizes, take a ride on our kiddie ferris wheel, or combo express. Fill the air with the sweet scent of cotton candy, popcorn, sno-cones and more. Decorate with red and white striped tents and table cloths with bright colorful pennant flags and balloons. There’s nothing like a day at the carnival!

Mardi Gras:
Hand out beads and masks for your guests to wear. Bust out Beignets with the donut station as you watch street performers amaze and amuse you. Decorate with green gold and purple decor.

Medieval:
Grab the food with your hands as you watch your guests battle in the gladiator joust, or race through the medieval challenge obstacle course. Dress up as knights, or the royal family, and maybe even throw in a pony ride.
